I work from life(when possible), however, realizing the inability of animals to stay still, I usually work from photos that I take of the pet. If using the client's photos, I will need several good quality photos to get a feel for the subject's personality to insure a good likeness. Also the head needs to be larger than 2 1/2" in the photo for accurate detailing. Also all photos must be your own-professionally taken photos are copyrighted and will not be used without signed, notarized permission of the photographer.
30% non-refundable down payment is required, which secures your priority on the waiting list. Additional 30% due at time of preliminary sketch and rest due at time of delivery.
This collection is of paintings done from photos provided by veterans. These paintings are being done to fund the "Hobbies for Heroes" program. Prints of these paintings will be available for purchase.
The reflections and movement of water keeps me coming back to this subject. Water is like life-always changing. I find a calmness in painting waterscapes, hopefully they will give you a sense of peace and tranquility in your life too.
My landscapes are influenced by the moments of time. They are my interpretation of the landscape-capturing the essence and emotions of the location I'm painting.
Painting on location is a wonderful venue for capturing nature in all its glory and mystery.
